Biography

University lecturer with numerous years of experience in developing and delivering modules in Civil Engineering discipline at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Supervisor of  PhD students, masters students and undergraduate students. Experienced researcher in research areas of water and marine with specialty in marine/coastal climate change forecasting, flood protection, surface water quality and marine renewable energy assessment. Author of  >40 international journal publications and peer-reviewed conference papers, numerous technical reports, journal editor and reviewer for international journals. Principal Investigator of numerous research grants (€1.6M) and recipient of three scholarship awards as primary supervisor . Contributor to major international/national projects, collaborator with world-class research institutes and international enterprises, natural networker and member of several international professional organisations. Holds PhD in civil engineering, MSc in environmental engineering, postgraduate certificated in Teaching and Learning, and certified diploma in project management.
