Office of the Secretary of Governance and Academic Affairs
Welcome
The Secretary for Governance and Academic Affairs is responsible for the planning and the formulation of academic policy, together with the continuous review and monitoring of its implementation. The Secretary for Governance and Academic Affairs shall assist the Deputy President and Registrar in his responsibility for leading the development and implementation of the University’s Academic Policy and Plan, including establishing the basis for strategic decisions as to where the University will focus resources and develop centres of excellence in both teaching and research, allocation of academic resources across the University and is responsibility for the major strategic initiatives.
The Secretary for Governance and Academic Affairsis is responsible for the oversight, on behalf of the President, for the admission and registration of students, the maintenance of student records and the registers of students and graduates, and the conduct of the examinations of the University.
The Secretary for Governance and Academic Affairs is Secretary to Academic Council and conducts correspondence for the University in relation to Academic matters.
